Fifteen seasons on Fox, a two year gap, then nine more on ABC with the numbering carried straight through. Nobody treats it as two shows.
Any season on its own; nothing carries over. The useful thing to know is that the Fox seasons are roughly twice the length of the ABC ones for the same number of competition weeks, because Fox aired a separate results show the night after each performance show and every source counts those as their own episodes.

This stops your subscription too. It is cancelled at Stripe in the same step, so nothing more is charged. The rest of this month is not refunded and you will not be able to use it, so cancel from Manage or cancel and delete later if you would rather keep it.
