What's coming
Everything announced in the catalogue and not released yet. Dates are whatever has actually been said, which for about half of these is nothing more than a year. Nothing here counts towards your totals until it arrives.
A film was announced in 2012 with a writer and director attached, moved studios, and has never been made. It has been declared dead and revived more than once.
A third film had a writer attached and a spin-off series about two of the side characters was announced for Disney+ in 2019. Blue Sky Studios was closed in 2021 and neither has been confirmed since.
Sarah J. Maas has said the next books are the first two parts of one story told across three. Book six is A Court of Splintered Harmony, dated 27 October 2026, and book seven is A Court of Forgotten Melody, dated 12 January 2027. Both titles were revealed in August 2026, and the pair is being sold as the Valkyrie Cycle.
Announced 4 July 2025 and dated for 20 October 2026 on Netflix. Ten episodes, which is CD Projekt Red's own published figure rather than an estimate. Trigger again, directed by Kai Ikarashi. It is a new standalone story in Night City with an entirely new cast and does not continue David's. Databases disagree about whether to file it as a second season or a separate series; we keep it here because Netflix will almost certainly surface it under the same title.

Due for release on 23 October 2026. A girl goes after her baby brother into a wilderness on the edge of Portland. From the novel by Colin Meloy, with illustrations by Carson Ellis.
No release date and no year have been announced. Peacock ordered it in September 2022 and Donald Glover confirmed it was still in production in April 2026; the year on this row is the last year it was confirmed to exist, not a release date.
The fourth film, scheduled for November 2026, with most of the cast returning and the Focker children now adults. Written and directed by John Hamburg, who wrote the first two.
Robert Downey Jr. returns as Doctor Doom rather than as Iron Man, and the cast draws on the Fantastic Four and the Fox X-Men films as well as the Avengers.
Matthew Vaughn has announced a reboot of the films more than once, most recently describing it as a fresh start rather than a continuation. No date has been confirmed.
Amazon signed a deal with Games Workshop in 2022 and confirmed terms in 2024, with Henry Cavill attached to star and produce. Nothing has been filmed publicly.
Todd McFarlane has been trying to make a new film since 2017, with Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Renner attached at one point. It has not been made and the plans have changed repeatedly.
An animated musical series called Tiana was announced for Disney+ in 2020 and has been delayed repeatedly with staff changes and reported format changes. Separately, a live action version of the film has been reported as in development in 2026. Neither has a confirmed release.
A sequel has been discussed since 2011 and a film based on The Blue Lotus has been reported as in production. No release date is confirmed, so nothing else is listed here.
Eight episodes, weekly on Crunchyroll from January 2027, directed by Kenichi Kutsuna with character design by Takahiro Kishida and music by Shuta Hasunuma. It is the longer of the two versions.
Announced at Annecy in June 2026 for Cartoon Network's thirty fifth anniversary, due in 2027. The title here is the one in the press release; no final title and no date have been announced.
Dated for November 2027, written and directed by Chris Columbus, who wrote the first film. Announced by Warner Bros in late 2025 after more than a decade of rumours, and this is the first time an actual date has been set.
A feature film has been announced for cinema release. Nothing about its story has been confirmed, so nothing is listed here beyond the fact that it exists.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Infinity Castle Part 2
Confirmed and in development, from the second novel, with Troy Quane directing and Chris Sanders writing. It has no release date: it does not appear on Universal's dated slate, so the year on this row is a placeholder and not a schedule.
Dated 18 February 2028 as of mid-2026, after several delays: it was announced for October 2025, then October 2026, then 2027. Filming was reported as beginning in spring 2026. The date has moved enough times that it is worth checking before planning around it.
Alex Garland writing and directing for A24, shot for IMAX in Scotland and Wales on a budget reported well over a hundred million dollars. Filming finished on 30 July 2026 and it is dated 3 March 2028. Kit Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Ben Whishaw, Nick Offerman, Tom Burke and Jonathan Pryce are in it.
Greenlit in December 2025 with a finished script. No title and no date announced; the 2028 here follows Boyle saying he hopes to film in 2027, and is not a schedule.
An animated series adapting The Prophecies Begin, in development since a 2024 deal, with a tentative 2028 date and Disney attached for distribution. Nothing has been confirmed beyond that, so it carries no episode count.
A television series adapting the sequel novel, announced on 2 May 2026 at a franchise event in Tokyo along with a separate new OVA. No date, no cour and no episode count for either. LiveChart lists this one as a television series with an unknown count and a premiere to be announced, and MyAnimeList holds a stub entry for the OVA with no studio.
A crossover graphic novel by O'Guin and Black, funded on Kickstarter in March and April 2026 at roughly seventy thousand dollars against a twenty thousand goal. It picks up the Paradise PD cliffhanger directly and lands the cast on the planet Farzar. A stretch goal to add Brickleberry characters was met. No publication date, page count or format has been confirmed, so this carries no year.
IN DEVELOPMENT, NOT MADE, AND WITH NO DATE OF ANY KIND. It has a director in Adele Lim, announced October 2024, and Anne Hathaway confirmed her own return the same month, writing "Miracles happen". Debra Martin Chase, who produced both earlier films, is producing. That is as far as it goes. Filming has never started. The producer told People in June 2026 "We had hoped to be shooting this year", which is a hope that did not happen. In July 2026 Hathaway said the team had to start the script over and then had a story breakthrough. JULIE ANDREWS HAS SAID NO: in August 2026 she told Today "I'm not going to be in it" and InStyle "I think I'm retired", adding that she was asked all through the previous year. No studio has ever announced a release date, and the dates circulating on aggregator sites are those sites' own guesses.
Sony confirmed a sequel was in active development in June 2024. No director, no date, not shooting. The working name is not its title: Uncharted 2 is the 2009 game.
A prequel following young Ghost and Tommy, with Mekai Curtis carrying Kanan across from Raising Kanan. Ordered in July 2025 and filming, with no release date announced.
A draft was finished in 2019. In July 2026 Lynch described it as still needing twenty to twenty-five thousand words stitched together plus an ending. No publisher date has ever been announced.
