The Batman

One film, one television series between the films, and a second film that keeps moving.

Where to start with The Batman

Three things and one surprise: the television series sits between the two films and is not optional if you want the second one to make sense. It picks up a week after the film ends and changes who holds power in the city.

  1. 1
    The Batman (2022) The Batman

Start here. It assumes you know who Batman is and gets on with being a detective story instead of an origin.

  2. 2
    The Penguin (2024) The Penguin

Eight episodes, beginning a week after the film. Batman is barely in it. It is still the bridge between the two films.

  3. 3
The Batman Part II The Batman Part II

Not out. Dated February 2028 at the moment, and that date has already moved three times.

Then what? Nothing else belongs here. This production shares no continuity with the Burton and Schumacher films, the Nolan trilogy, the 1966 film, the DC Extended Universe, or the DC Universe being built from 2025.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
