Two recent films that are one story split in half, a television prequel set ten thousand years earlier, and three older adaptations of the same novel. Start with the recent films; everything else is optional and some of it is very optional.

Roughly the first half of the 1965 novel, and it ends without resolving: that is deliberate rather than a fault, but it means going in knowing there is a second half.
The other half, and the two together are one film in every way that matters. Best watched close together; the gap between them is where most people lose the thread of the names.
Six episodes set ten thousand years before the films, about how the Bene Gesserit came to be. Entirely optional, and it makes far more sense once you have seen what that order becomes.
Then what? Dune: Part Three is due in December 2026 and adapts the second novel. The 1984 David Lynch film and the two early-2000s miniseries are separate adaptations of the same books rather than parts of this story: the miniseries covers more of the plot, the Lynch film is the more interesting failure, and neither is needed.
