One continuity, in release order, and unusually well behaved for a franchise this size. The only thing worth knowing in advance is that the films alternate between Godzilla and Kong before putting them together, and the two television series sit alongside rather than in the way.

The film that started this continuity. Deliberately withholds its monster for most of its running time, which divides people, but it establishes Monarch and everything the later films assume.
Set in 1973 and almost entirely standalone. Introduces the other half of the franchise and is the most purely enjoyable of the run.
Where the two halves finally meet, and the point the whole continuity was built towards. King of the Monsters comes before it and is worth seeing first, but this is the payoff.
Then what? Monarch: Legacy of Monsters fills in the human history between the films and is genuinely good; Skull Island is animated and much lighter. Neither is required to follow the films.
