Two franchises share this page because two films crossed them over, and those crossover films are the ones to leave until last if at all. Alien and Predator are otherwise unrelated, and both are best entered through their first film.

A different director turning the same premise into an action film, and one of the very few sequels people argue is better. Watch it straight after the first; the pair is the whole reason this franchise exists.
Where the other half starts. Nothing to do with Alien, needs nothing from it, and is a lean and self-contained eighties action film.
The best Predator film since the first, set in 1719 with no connection to the others at all. A completely valid place to begin if the eighties is not for you.
Then what? After that: Prometheus and Alien: Covenant are prequels made decades later and are their own argument, Romulus sits between the first two films, and the two Alien vs. Predator crossovers are widely disowned. All of them are below, grouped so you can see which is which.
