Where to start with Warriors

Start with The Prophecies Begin and read the arcs in publication order. The prequel arc is published fifth and set first, and reading it first is a mistake almost everyone warns against.

  1. 1
The Prophecies Begin (2003 to 2004) The Prophecies Begin

Six books, and the only sensible entry point. A house cat joins a clan of wild ones. Older editions call this arc simply Warriors, because the arc name was added retroactively.

  2. 2
The New Prophecy (2005 to 2006) The New Prophecy

Six more, straight on from the first arc with the next generation. From here to Omen of the Stars it is one continuous story.

  3. 3
Dawn of the Clans (2013 to 2015) Dawn of the Clans

The prequel, set generations before everything else. Published fifth, and worth reading fifth: it is written for people who already know how the Clans work, so it lands flat as an opening.

Then what? Power of Three and Omen of the Stars finish the first long story. A Vision of Shadows, The Broken Code, A Starless Clan and Changing Skies pick the timeline back up and carry it to the present, with Changing Skies still being written. Alongside the arcs there are Super Editions, novellas, field guides and a long run of comics that slot into gaps rather than moving the story on. Nothing here has ever been filmed.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
