Where to start with Paddington

Straight through, in order. Release order and story order are the same thing here and there is nothing to decide. The only real question is whether the television series belong in the list at all, and the answer is no.

  1. 1
    Paddington (2014) Paddington

How he gets from Peru to Windsor Gardens and why the Browns take him in. Everything the other two films assume starts here.

  2. 2
    Paddington 2 (2017) Paddington 2

He is settled with the family by now and the film never says how long it has been. Widely held to be the best of the three.

  3. 3
Paddington in Peru (2024) Paddington in Peru

Back to Peru to find Aunt Lucy, with a different director in Dougal Wilson rather than Paul King. Paddington has British citizenship by this film, which is the only sign the series gives that years have gone by.

Then what? That is all three. A fourth film is in development with Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell writing, and it has no release date, so the year against it here is blank rather than guessed. The television series are a separate matter and none of them is listed below.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
