Extraction

Two films, and the second gives away the first one's ending in its opening minutes.

Where to start with Extraction

In order, and unusually this is not a preference. The second film resolves the first one's deliberately ambiguous ending inside its opening minutes, so watching them the other way round destroys the first film.

  1. 1
    Extraction (2020) Extraction

A mercenary sent to recover a kidnapped boy in Dhaka. It ends with Rake shot and falling into a river, then cuts to eight months later and a blurred figure that may be him or may be the boy's imagination. The film leaves it open on purpose.

  2. 2
    Extraction 2 (2023) Extraction 2

Opens by confirming he lived, showing the airlift and the recovery, before the Georgian prison job that is the actual film. Everything the first film withheld is given away in the first few minutes.

Then what? Extraction 3 was filmed from July 2026 in Sydney and Europe with the same director and lead, and has no announced release date, so it is listed as unreleased with no year. Two spin-offs exist: a series called Mercenary with Omar Sy, shot in Ireland and Morocco, and a Korean-set film with Don Lee. Neither has a date and neither is listed here, and nothing suggests either is required for the main films.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
