Where to start with Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Almost every episode is a standalone tale, so you can dip in anywhere. If you want the whole thing: seasons one to five, then six and seven, then the three revivals in order. Order only matters in four places.

  1. 1
Seasons one to five, 1992 to 1996 Are You Afraid of the Dark?

An anthology with a framing story. The Midnight Society arc runs across each era, so the framing makes more sense in order even though the tales do not need it. The Tale of Cutter's Treasure in season four is a two part story.

  2. 2
Seasons six and seven, the 1999 revival Are You Afraid of the Dark?

A new Midnight Society, three years later, and still the same show by every source's numbering. Season seven closes with The Tale of the Silver Sight, three parts that went out as one block on 2 April 2000 and bring back original cast members.

  3. 3
The three revivals, in order Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Carnival of Doom

Carnival of Doom, then Curse of the Shadows, then Ghost Island. Each is one continuous story rather than an anthology, and they share nothing but the banner, so order between them barely matters. Within each one it matters completely.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
