A single mother and her mother in Greenpoint, North Carolina, permanently one bill away from disaster, with Jesus turning up to give advice nobody asked for. Ten episodes from September 2019, with the finale landing in January 2020 after a month off at Christmas.
More than double the first season. It ran from late September to mid December 2020, stopped for over two months, and came back in February 2021 to finish. Fox announced the cancellation on 1 April 2021, so the last eleven weeks of episodes aired knowing it.
Then what? The finale, Betty's Birthday, aired 20 June 2021. No revival, no film, nothing announced.
