Thirty-nine episodes shot on film without an audience. Quieter and more wistful than the show it becomes, and some people prefer it.
Season three is the format change and also the episode A Date with Fonzie, which introduces Laverne and Shirley ten weeks before their own show started.
My Favorite Orkan is in season five, and Mork & Mindy started that September. Its second season was retooled and is the one to be warned about.
Joanie Loves Chachi is seventeen episodes and the only spin-off that will not make sense on its own. Both characters return to Happy Days afterwards.
Then what? The three cartoons are appendices and share nothing with the live-action continuity. Blansky's Beauties and Out of the Blue are thirteen and eight episodes and are barely connected to any of it.
