Where to start with Malcolm in the Middle

Straight through from the pilot, which is one of the few sitcom pilots that is genuinely the best way in. It sets up the whole joke in twenty two minutes: a gifted kid, a house with no money and no rules anybody obeys, and parents who are not trying to be nice. Nothing here needs context.

  1. 1
Season 1 Malcolm in the Middle

Sixteen episodes in 2000. The format arrives fully formed, including Malcolm talking to camera.

  2. 2
Season 2 Malcolm in the Middle

Twenty five episodes, the longest it ever ran, and the season most often called its best.

  3. 3
Life's Still Unfair (2026) Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair

Four episodes on Hulu from 10 April 2026, set twenty years later. It assumes you know the family, so leave it until you have finished the original run.

Then what? Seasons three to seven run on without a break and the series ends properly, which not every sitcom of that era managed. The revival is a separate four-part thing rather than a season eight, and it does not try to restart anything.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
