On the data. CORRECTION, LATER THE SAME DAY. These rows first went in at twenty-six and FORTY, and forty was wrong. It came from Wikipedia's Series 4 table, which was a snapshot frozen in March 2026 and stopped at episode 170. The fifty-two episode order actually COMPLETED on 18 September 2026: twenty-six episodes in 2025, then thirteen across 2 to 17 March 2026 and thirteen more from 7 to 18 September, ending with Irma's Surprise. Confirmed directly against TheTVDB's season four listing, which runs S04E01 to S04E52 without gaps and marks the last one a finale, and against the broadcaster's own listings. Chris's weekly check caught it: TMDB splits each fifty-two episode run into two twenty-six episode halves, so what it calls season seven is the 2026 batch, and it reported twenty-six episodes this page did not have. SO THE ANIMATED SERIES IS 182, NOT 170, and the franchise is 197. The arithmetic still reconciles, and now it reconciles on the full order: 52 plus 52 plus 26 plus 52 is 182, which is exactly the overall numbering. THE TWO BLANK ROWS WERE FILLED ON 11 OCTOBER 2026, at twenty-six and forty, and this is the whole of the reasoning. The old note said SagaList and TMDB called the current run season six with twenty-six episodes while TVmaze called it season four with fifty-two, and that the two could not be compared. They were never about the same television. Wikipedia and TheTVDB agree on a four-series structure: Series 1 52 episodes overall 1 to 52 Series 2 52 episodes overall 53 to 104 Series 3 26 episodes overall 105 to 130, 9 April to 8 October 2019 Series 4 52 ordered overall 131 to 182, from 1 May 2025, 40 aired So the twenty-six is Series 3, which finished in 2019, and the fifty-two is the ORDER for Series 4, which is still running. Neither source was wrong and neither was contradicting the other. Season five here is Series 3 and season six here is Series 4. AND THE ARITHMETIC RECONCILES EXACTLY, which is what made it safe to do. The first four rows on this page already added to 104, which is Series 1 plus Series 2 precisely. Twenty-six and forty bring the series to 170, and 170 is exactly Wikipedia's highest numbered episode with a broadcast date, Double Date Disaster on 7 September 2026. Two structures reaching the same number by two different routes is the strongest confirmation this site gets, and it is the same test SOURCES.md applies to the stitched-together Nickelodeon films. THE ROW IS FLAGGED RATHER THAN LOOKING SETTLED, for two reasons. The figures are reconciled from a structure rather than read off a single list, and season six is mid-run at forty of a fifty-two episode order, so it will keep rising. Season five's twenty-six is finished and will not move again. WHAT THIS CHANGED. The animated series goes from 104 to 170 and the franchise from 119 to 185. Nobody's ticks were lost: progress is stored against season and episode numbers rather than positions, so a count that rises brings every existing tick with it. Three things. The original series is short. Fifteen episodes, made between 1990 and 1995, plus a couple of specials. People are often surprised by that, because the character has been around for thirty five years and there is a great deal of Mr. Bean material in the world. Most of it is the animated series. The two films are not the same kind of thing. Bean, from 1997, gives the character far more dialogue and puts him in a plot with other characters who talk. Mr. Bean's Holiday, from 2007, goes back to near silence and physical comedy. People who liked the series generally prefer the second. The animated series is much larger than everything else combined. It started in 2002, ran three seasons, stopped, and came back in 2015 with a fifty two episode run and has continued since. Rowan Atkinson still does the voice, such as it is. Episode counts for the most recent seasons are not confirmed and no number is carried here for them. There is no continuity anywhere in any of it. Nothing needs to be watched in order. The near total absence of dialogue was deliberate and commercial: it made the series sellable in any country with no dubbing at all.
