The Rising of the Shield Hero

Sixty two episodes across four seasons, and the first one is twenty five because it ran two cours straight through without a break.

Where to start with The Rising of the Shield Hero

One show, four seasons, in order. There is no film, no OVA, no recap and no alternate cut anywhere in this franchise, which makes it one of the simplest anime pages on the site. The only thing to know going in is that season one is long.

  1. 1
Season one, twenty five episodes The Rising of the Shield Hero

A continuous two cour run. It is twice the length of every season after it, so do not read the gap between episodes thirteen and fourteen as a season break, because there is not one.

  2. 2
Season two, thirteen episodes The Rising of the Shield Hero

Straight on. A different animation studio handled this one and the drop in polish is widely noticed, which is worth knowing rather than being surprised by.

  3. 3
Season three, twelve episodes The Rising of the Shield Hero

Kinema Citrus returns and the show picks back up.

  4. 4
Season four, twelve episodes The Rising of the Shield Hero

The Siltvelt and Q'ten Lo arcs, finishing on 24 September 2025. This is the end of what exists.

Then what? A fifth season is announced for 2027 with no episode count. If you want more of these characters in the meantime, Naofumi and Raphtalia appear in Isekai Quartet, which is a separate crossover franchise and not a Shield Hero season.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
