The Sopranos

Eighty six episodes, six seasons, and the prequel film that came back fourteen years later. The sixth season is one season or two depending on who you ask.

Where to start with The Sopranos

Season one, in order, all the way through. The film is a prequel in story terms and was made for an audience that already knows the show, so watching it first spoils the series and gives you nothing in return. Story order puts it first and this site lists it that way because that is where it happens; release order is what you should actually watch.

  1. 1
The Sopranos, season 1 The Sopranos

Thirteen episodes. A mob boss starts seeing a therapist, and television spends the next twenty five years copying it.

  2. 2
The Sopranos, season 3 The Sopranos

Thirteen more, and where the show stops being interested in whether you like anybody. Do not skip to it; it is here so you know the shape of the run.

  3. 3
The Sopranos, season 6 The Sopranos

Twenty one episodes across two broadcast blocks a year apart. Watch them as one season, which is what they are.

  4. 4
The Many Saints of Newark The Many Saints of Newark

After the series, not before. It assumes you know who everybody grows up to be, and the ending only lands if you do.

Sync & backup

Your progress is saved on this device automatically. The code below takes a copy out and puts it back. Moving a whole list onto a device that has nothing on it yet is part of the subscription.

The code holds only this franchise. The link opens the tracker with your progress already filled in, good for showing someone where you're at. The image is a picture you can keep anywhere: scan the code on it with a phone, or drag the file back in below.

Every franchise you have touched, in one code.

Scan it with another device's camera, or paste the code in below. It never leaves your browser.

Drag a SagaList image here, or .

This reads the progress stored inside the picture, so nothing has to be retyped. If the image has been through a messaging app it may have been re-encoded and lost that: scan the code on it instead, or copy the code printed along the bottom.

Takes either kind of code. A single franchise code replaces that franchise, on any device. An everything code merges by default, so nothing you have ticked on this device is lost. Putting a whole list onto a device that has nothing on it yet is the part an account pays for.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.
