Arthur

Twenty-five seasons in any order, and one final segment that is a real ending.

Where to start with Arthur

Any order at all. Every half hour is two self-contained eleven-minute stories, the characters never age across twenty-five years, and nothing carries forward. There is exactly one exception and it is at the very end.

  1. 1
    Arthur, anywhere Arthur

Pick a season and start. The first season is thirty episodes because it aired daily, so it is the densest stretch. The show is at its most confident somewhere around seasons five to ten.

  2. 2
    Arthur's Perfect Christmas (2000) Arthur's Perfect Christmas

In December. An hour, needs nothing before it, and it is the thing most people remember.

  3. 3
The final segment, All Grown Up (2022) Arthur

Save this. The last segment of the last episode jumps twenty years forward and shows what everybody became, with the original voice actor returning to play the adult Arthur. It is a genuine ending on a show that never needed one, and it is worth not having it spoiled.

Then what? The specials stand alone and can go anywhere. Arthur's New Friend was a mail order personalised special and was never broadcast, so it is listed rather than recommended.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
