Beetlejuice

Two films thirty six years apart, and a cartoon that is a different character altogether.

Where to start with Beetlejuice

Both films, in order. There are only two and the second needs the first, which is about as simple as a watch order gets. The cartoon is a separate matter and is covered below.

  1. 1
    Beetlejuice (1988) Beetlejuice

A couple die, find themselves stuck haunting their own house, and hire a freelance bio-exorcist to get rid of the living family who move in. Nothing precedes it.

  2. 2
    Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Lydia is an adult now, hosting a paranormal television show, with a teenage daughter of her own and her father newly dead. It assumes the first film and nothing else.

Then what? That is both. The animated series that ran from 1989 to 1991 is ninety four episodes in a continuity of its own and is not a step in the order. A third film has been talked about by Warner Bros. with no title, no director attached and no date, so nothing is listed for it. The stage musical is not a screen title and is not listed either.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
