BIONICLE

A trilogy released backwards, a standalone sequel, and a reboot that shares nothing with any of it.

Where to start with BIONICLE

Watch the trilogy in story order, not release order. The first film released is the last one chronologically and it spoils both of the others.

  1. 1
Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui (2004) Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui

The earliest point in the story, despite the 2 in the title. Start here and the trilogy makes sense.

  2. 2
Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows (2005) Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows

Follows straight on from Legends of Metru Nui and still takes place before the first film.

  3. 3
Bionicle: Mask of Light (2003) Bionicle: Mask of Light

Released first and set last. Watching it first tells you how the other two end, which is the whole reason this page exists.

Then what? The Legend Reborn from 2009 is a standalone sequel set much later, made by a different studio with a different cast, and it needs none of the trilogy. The Netflix series from 2016 belongs to a full reboot with no connection to any of the films, so do not put it in the same run.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
