Where to start with Crocodile Dundee

Three films in order. The only thing worth deciding in advance is which version of the first one you watch, because there are now three and they differ more than you would expect.

  1. 1
    Crocodile Dundee (1986) Crocodile Dundee

A New York journalist goes to the Northern Territory to write about a man who supposedly survived a crocodile attack, and brings him home. Nothing precedes it.

  2. 2
Crocodile Dundee II (1988) Crocodile Dundee II

Opens with Mick and Sue already living together in New York, picking up from the first film's ending. No interval is stated.

  3. 3
Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (2001) Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles

Explicitly set thirteen years after the second film, which is the one hard stated gap in the series and almost exactly matches the real thirteen years between them. Mick and Sue have a son by now and are not yet married; they marry at the end.

Then what? That is all three. The 2018 Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home is not a fourth film and is covered below. No fourth film has ever been announced.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
