Daredevil

A 2003 film with two very different cuts, a spin-off nobody asked for, and then the version that fixed it.

Where to start with Daredevil

Four things, and the two live-action runs are entirely separate. The order below is the order worth watching, and it skips one of them.

  1. 1
    Daredevil (2015) Daredevil

Start here. Thirty-nine episodes, and the reason people take superhero television seriously at all. It assumes nothing.

  2. 2
Daredevil: Born Again (2025) Daredevil: Born Again

A continuation of the Netflix series with the same actor, not a reboot. It expects you to have watched the three seasons above.

  3. 3
Daredevil (2003), the director's cut Daredevil

Only the director's cut. It is half an hour longer, restores a subplot that explains the plot, and is a genuinely different film from the one that was in cinemas.

Then what? Elektra from 2005 is a spin-off of the 2003 film with no Daredevil in it. Ben Affleck filmed a cameo and it was cut. It is on the page for completeness and almost nobody recommends it.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
