On the data. This is a collection, not a franchise. It holds every feature film Walt Disney Animation Studios has released, from 1937 to now, oldest first, in seven sections. The sections are the names people actually use for these stretches, with the years attached so you can see where the lines are drawn. THERE IS NO STORY ORDER HERE, and almost no connections at all. Two pairs run together and that is the whole of it: The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under, and Wreck-It Ralph and Ralph Breaks the Internet, plus Frozen, Zootopia and Moana with their own second films. Everything else stands alone. WHAT COUNTS. This is the studio's own canon, the numbered list Disney itself keeps, which is why Dinosaur is on it and Song of the South is not. The package films of the 1940s are on it because Disney counts them, even though several are under an hour and are really short films in a bag. WHAT IS NOT HERE, and where it is instead. Pixar is a different studio and has its own page on SagaList. The live-action remakes are not on this list, because they are not animated features; each one sits on the page for the film it remakes, so the 2019 Lion King is on The Lion King page and the 2015 Cinderella is on Cinderella. The direct-to-video sequels, which there are dozens of, are on the page for whichever film they follow. And the television work, which is most of what the company actually makes, is not here at all. THE ONES PEOPLE ARGUE ABOUT. Dinosaur was left off Disney's own list for years and then added. Saludos Amigos runs forty-two minutes, which is shorter than some television episodes. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is three earlier featurettes glued together. All three are on the official list, so all three are here. Ticking a film here is the same tick as ticking it on its own page, and the link on each row says which page that is. Nothing is counted twice on your scoreboard.
