Where to start with Dumb and Dumber

Two films, and they are the first and the last. Watch 1994 and then 2014 and you have the whole thing.

  1. 1
Dumb and Dumber (1994) Dumb and Dumber

The one everybody quotes. Nothing needs to come before it, and the prequel that is set earlier actively works against it.

  2. 2
Dumb and Dumber To (2014) Dumb and Dumber To

Twenty years later with both actors and both directors back. It picks up directly from the first film and ignores everything in between, which is exactly what you should do too.

  3. 3
Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003) Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd

Only if you are curious. It is a cinema released prequel about the pair at school with both parts recast and nobody from the original involved. It is set first in the story and it is the one thing here you can safely skip.

Then what? The 1995 cartoon is thirteen episodes on ABC with different voice actors and a talking beaver, and it has nothing to do with the films. A third film was reported in 2023 and has never been confirmed by anybody, so there is nothing to wait for.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
