Two films, and the second one does not have a number or the word sequel anywhere on it.
In order, and the only reason people do not is that the second film is called Lage Raho Munna Bhai rather than Munna Bhai 2. There is no number on it and nothing in the title says sequel, so a lot of viewers meet the second one first and never realise there is an earlier film. It is a direct continuation with the same two leads.

A Mumbai gangster enrols in medical school to impress his parents, having faked his way in. It sets up Munna and Circuit, who are the whole series.
The same two men, three years later, with Munna being visited by Gandhi. The title translates roughly as keep at it, Munna Bhai, which is why nobody reads it as a sequel.
Then what? There is no third film. Rajkumar Hirani said in February 2026 that he is still working on scripts for sequels to both this and 3 Idiots, which is the closest it has come in twenty years. Nothing has been announced, so nothing is listed.
