Four comedies that share a cast and almost nothing else, plus a spin-off most people missed.

Where to start with Golmaal

Any of them, and that is not a cop-out. These are four separate comedies with four separate plots. The same four actors turn up each time playing characters with the same names, but nothing carries over: people die in one film and are fine in the next, relationships reset, and no film refers to the one before it. Pick whichever has the premise you like.

  1. 1
Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006) Golmaal: Fun Unlimited

Four con men squat in a blind couple's house and pretend to be their grandson. The original, and the one closest to a normal farce.

  2. 2
    Golmaal Again (2017) Golmaal Again

The biggest of the four and the one that added a ghost story to the formula. A good entry point if you want the series at full volume.

  3. 3
    Golmaal Returns (2008) Golmaal Returns

A misunderstanding about a woman on a boat spirals for two hours. Entirely unconnected to the first film.

Then what? Golmaal 3 came between those two in 2010, with two warring families and the same four men in the middle. Cirkus from 2022 is a spin-off of Golmaal Again rather than a fifth film, and it is genuinely easy to miss that it is connected at all. Golmaal 5 began filming in March 2026 for a 2027 release.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
