Six episodes, and it is not a Yellowstone spin-off however it started.
Six episodes, in order, and you need nothing else first. That is worth saying because of where this came from: it was developed as a contemporary Yellowstone sequel after Kevin Costner's contract talks collapsed, and it was reported as one for a long time. By the time the trailer arrived Paramount+ was describing it as a standalone series with no connection to the Yellowstone franchise, and no Yellowstone characters appear in it.

Then what? A second season was ordered in August 2025, before the first had aired, and a third in April 2026. Neither has a date or an episode count, so neither is written here.
