Where to start with Thor

The four films are in order and belong to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which the MCU page covers properly. This page exists so that searching for Thor finds everything in one place, including the animated film that is not on that page.

  1. 1
    Thor (2011) Thor

The first film. It assumes nothing, although it sits inside a larger story the MCU page lays out in full.

  2. 2
Thor: The Dark World (2013) Thor: The Dark World

The second. Several Avengers films fall between it and the first, and the MCU page has that order.

  3. 3
    Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Thor: Ragnarok

The third, and a complete change of tone. It is the one most people name as the best of the four.

  4. 4
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) Thor: Love and Thunder

The fourth, and it follows directly from Ragnarok and Endgame.

Then what? Tales of Asgard from 2011 is a direct-to-video animated film about Thor as a boy, connected to nothing, and the last entry in the Marvel Animated Features line. The One-Shot is four minutes long and was released on the Captain America home video.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
