Wrong Turn

Six films in one continuity, and the fourth and fifth are prequels, so the numbers do not match the timeline.

Where to start with Wrong Turn

Watch the 2003 film first even though it is not the earliest. The two prequels only work once you know what they are explaining, and they were made eight years later.

  1. 1
    Wrong Turn (2003) Wrong Turn

The original, and the only one of the first six that went to cinemas. Everything in films two through five is built around what this film establishes.

  2. 2
Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) Wrong Turn 2: Dead End

Follows straight on and widens the family out. Straight to video, but the strongest of the sequels, and it sets up the third.

  3. 3
Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings (2011) Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings

The origin story, opening in a 1974 asylum. It is set before the 2003 film but it is written to be watched after it, and it leads directly into the fifth.

Then what? Story order for the first five is 4, 5, 1, 2, 3. Release order is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Both work, but the chronological run has a snag: the prequels were shot with contemporary phones and cars despite being set before 2003. Wrong Turn 6 from 2014 is an orphan with its own mythology, and the 2021 film is a separate reboot with no cannibals in it at all.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
