Young Justice

Four seasons across three networks and twelve years, each with its own subtitle, and a continuity that belongs to nothing else in DC.

Where to start with Young Justice

Watch it in order, because unlike most animated superhero shows this one is a single continuous story with a five-year time skip in the middle of it. The subtitles are season titles rather than separate shows, and each picks up directly from the last. It also assumes nothing: the continuity is its own, so no other DC series is required first.

  1. 1
Young Justice, season 1 Young Justice

Twenty six episodes, and the whole premise: the sidekicks get given the covert missions the Justice League cannot be seen doing. The long game it is playing is visible from about the fourth episode.

  2. 2
    Invasion Young Justice

Opens five years later with the cast aged up and several things already gone wrong offscreen. Deliberately disorienting, and it pays off.

  3. 3
    Outsiders Young Justice

Seven years after Invasion aired, revived on a streaming service and noticeably darker for it. Twenty six episodes.

  4. 4
    Phantoms Young Justice

Structured as a run of self-contained arcs following one character at a time. The most experimental the show ever got, and as things stand the ending.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
