Beast Wars

The computer-animated one from 1996, which turned out to be a sequel to the 1984 series and is better than it.

Where to start with Beast Wars

Beast Wars then Beast Machines, in order. It assumes nothing, and the connection to the 1984 series is a reveal rather than a requirement.

  1. 1
Beast Wars: Transformers (1996) Beast Wars: Transformers

Three seasons. The first is twenty-six episodes and takes a while to find itself; from the end of that season it is excellent and it never stops being a running story.

  2. 2
Beast Machines (1999) Beast Machines: Transformers

Picks up immediately after. Be warned that it is deliberately unlike what came before, and that is why people argue about it.

  3. 3
Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2000) Transformers: Robots in Disguise

Only if you want it. It follows neither of the above and starts over completely.

Then what? The two Japanese Beast Wars series were made at the same time and share nothing with the Canadian one but a title and a toy line. Beast Wars II first, then Neo.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
