Where to start with Captain Underpants

The film works on its own and needs none of the books. If you want the order, it is books, film, series, specials, and then Dog Man, which is set in the same world.

  1. 1
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017) Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie

Start here. It is self-contained and it is the best thing in this franchise.

  2. 2
The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants (2018 to 2020) The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants

Forty five episodes on Netflix across four seasons. Recast from the film, and episodic, so it is easy to dip into.

  3. 3
The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants: Hack-a-Ween (2019) The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants: Hack-a-Ween

A long Halloween special. Whether it is a special or an episode of season two depends on where you are watching it.

Then what? The books can be read at any point and are not required. Then go to Dog Man, which is a film about a comic drawn by the two boys in this one, and which is on its own page here.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
