Release order and story order are the same thing here, which is rarer than it sounds. Every series and every special was made to sit in the gap it was released into: The Beat Goes On goes between the first and second films, TrollsTopia between the second and third, and the two holiday specials after the first and second respectively. Watch it all in the order it came out and it will line up.
