Dragonlance

Two hundred novels by dozens of authors, and this page lists the spine rather than pretending to list all of it.

Where to start with Dragonlance

Chronicles then Legends, six books, and that is the part of Dragonlance everybody means. The rest is a library.

  1. 1
Dragons of Autumn Twilight (1984) Dragons of Autumn Twilight

The book that started fantasy tie in fiction as a business. It was written to accompany a set of Dungeons & Dragons modules and it reads like a campaign, which is either the point or the problem depending on you.

  2. 2
Dragons of Spring Dawning (1985) Dragons of Spring Dawning

The end of Chronicles. If you only read three Dragonlance books, these are the three, and the story genuinely finishes here.

  3. 3
Time of the Twins (1986) Time of the Twins

The start of Legends, which follows straight on and is the better trilogy. Three books, all published in 1986, and it is Raistlin's story rather than the whole company's.

Then what? The Second Generation and Dragons of Summer Flame move to the next generation. Destinies, three books from 2022 to 2024, is the modern revival. Beyond those there are roughly two hundred Dragonlance novels by dozens of authors, including trilogies that go backwards and fill in earlier eras, and this page does not attempt to list them. The 2008 animated film covers the first book only.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
