DuckTales

A hundred episodes in 1987, a reboot thirty years later that actually crosses over with everything, and the duck in the purple cape who was never quite in the same universe.

Where to start with DuckTales

The two DuckTales series are separate worlds, so the first question is which one you want rather than where to begin. Both start at episode one.

  1. 1
DuckTales 1987, from Treasure of the Golden Suns DuckTales

A hundred half hours, and the five part opener is the best of them. Largely standalone after that, so it survives being watched in any order, though the four other serials are worth keeping together.

  2. 2
DuckTales the Movie, after season three DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp

Its place in the run is between the third and fourth seasons. It works on its own and it is seventy three minutes, so it is also a fair way to try the show before committing to a hundred episodes.

  3. 3
    Darkwing Duck Darkwing Duck

Watch it after the 1987 show if you want Launchpad and Gizmoduck to mean something, and otherwise whenever you like. Its creator says it is a different universe and it behaves like one.

  4. 4
    DuckTales 2017, from Woo-oo! DuckTales

A reboot, so it needs nothing before it. It is also far more serialised than the original and should be watched in order. This is the one with all the crossovers in it.

Then what? Goof Troop and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers have their own pages here, and the 2017 series crosses over with both. A Darkwing Duck revival was greenlit in September 2026 with nothing aired yet.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
