Worth knowing: browsers do clear their own storage. Safari in particular wipes a site's data after about a week of not visiting, and private windows forget everything when you close them. If you've put real effort into a list, export it.

Can't find one?
Two separate strands, one animated and one live action, and each of them ends with a prequel that release order puts last.
There are two Kenshins on this page and they do not join up: the 1996 anime with its OVAs, and the five live action films. Pick one strand. Both of them end on a prequel, so in both cases the last thing released is the first thing that happens, and in both cases watching it first costs you the mystery the rest of the story is built on. The path below is the anime.
The Tokyo arc and then the Kyoto arc, which is the part of the series adapted from the manga. Episode 62 is a real ending, and what follows it is anime original filler.
Four OVA episodes about the years before the series, and the reason to watch them second is that they answer outright the question the series has spent sixty episodes circling.
The final arc was never adapted by the 1996 anime, so reading is the only way to reach the ending the series was building towards.
Then what? Reflection is the only animated ending that exists, two OVA episodes from 2001 and 2002, and it invents a bleak conclusion that contradicts the manga; watch it knowing that, or skip it. Episodes 63 to 95 of the 1996 series, the 1997 film and the 2011 New Kyoto Arc OVAs are all optional side material. The 2023 remake is a separate telling of the same story from the beginning, closer to the manga, and is a fine alternative to the 1996 series but not a sequel to it. For the live action films, watch the 2012 film, then Kyoto Inferno and The Legend Ends as one story, then The Final, and only then The Beginning, which is set fourteen years before any of them and works as an ending rather than an opening.

Your data
There are no accounts on SagaList and no database of visitors. Almost everything the site does happens inside your own browser and never reaches anyone. Here is the whole picture, including the one thing that does leave your device.
Everything you tick off. Your progress is saved in your browser's own storage, on the device you're using, under a key belonging to this site. It is not sent anywhere, it is not backed up by us, and we cannot see it. If you clear your browser's site data it is gone, and we could not restore it even if you asked — which is exactly why Export image of progress and Sync & backup exist.
The same is true of a share link. The progress is encoded into the address itself, so it travels with the link rather than being stored on a server. Anyone you send it to can see what you've watched — that's the point of it — so only share it with people you mean to.
Only a suggestion, and only when you send one. If you use Suggest a title, what you typed is submitted to Netlify, who host this site, and forwarded on to whoever maintains the list. That form asks for a title and an optional note. It does not ask for your name or your email address, and there is nowhere to enter one. Netlify records the submission along with the technical details any web host sees when you send a request, and their privacy terms govern that.
If you never send a suggestion, nothing you do on this site is transmitted anywhere at all.
We do count visits, and it would be dishonest to have a privacy page that did not say so. It is done by Netlify reading its own server logs — the record every web host keeps of which pages were requested. Nothing is added to this page to make it happen: no script runs, no cookie is set, and nothing follows you from one visit to the next or from this site to any other.
What that produces is a count: how many pages were served, which ones, and roughly where in the world the requests came from. Visitors are counted as distinct network addresses per day, which is how a request gets counted once rather than five times. It is a tally of traffic, not a record of people — there is no profile, no history, and no way to look up what any one visitor did.
Two typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them, and Google sees that request the way any web server sees a request for a file. Nothing about your progress is included. Apart from that, the entire site is a single file served from this address.
The Join our Discord link at the foot of every page goes to Discord, which is a separate service run by a separate company. It is an ordinary link: nothing about what you've watched travels with it, and following it tells Discord only that somebody opened an invite. Anything you do once you are there — including needing a Discord account to say anything at all — is covered by Discord's own terms and privacy policy rather than this page. Nothing on SagaList itself ever asks you to make an account, and the server is entirely optional.
The Support the site link at the foot of every page goes to Ko-fi, a separate service run by a separate company, where anyone who wants to can send a few dollars towards the domain and hosting. It is an ordinary link and it is entirely optional: nothing on SagaList is paywalled, nothing is unlocked by paying, and nothing about what you've watched travels with the link. If you do send something, Ko-fi and its payment processor handle the payment and see whatever you type into their form — SagaList never sees or stores a card, an address, or a name, and keeps no record of who supported it. That side of things is covered by Ko-fi's own terms and privacy policy rather than this page.
If visitor analytics or an optional account for syncing across devices are ever added, this page gets updated first and the change will be obvious rather than quiet. The promise on the front page — nothing stored about you — is meant literally, and it stops being printable the day it stops being true.
SagaList keeps no contact list, so there is no address to write to about your data. There is nothing held about you to ask for.
