The Crow

An anthology rather than a saga: a different murdered person comes back in almost every entry.

Where to start with The Crow

Watch the 1994 film. After that this stops being a series and becomes a set of variations on one idea, so there is nothing you have to keep up with.

  1. 1
    The Crow (1994) The Crow

The only entry that matters to the rest. Every later film and the television series measure themselves against it, and it is the reason the property exists.

  2. 2
The Crow: City of Angels (1996) The Crow: City of Angels

The only sequel with an actual link: Sarah from the first film is back as an adult, carrying Eric's ring. Be warned that the version released is not the film its director made.

  3. 3
The Crow: Stairway to Heaven (1998) The Crow: Stairway to Heaven

Watch this instead of City of Angels if you want the other branch. It continues the 1994 film directly, with a different actor as Eric, and treats City of Angels as though it never happened. Twenty two episodes and then an unresolved ending.

Then what? Salvation from 2000 and Wicked Prayer from 2005 are standalone. New protagonist, new city, no returning characters, and they can be watched in either order or skipped entirely. The 2024 film is a separate adaptation of the comic and connects to nothing.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
