Voltron

An American series built from two unrelated Japanese ones, then three separate reboots. None of them continues another.

Where to start with Voltron

Start with Legendary Defender. It is a reboot, it owes nothing to anything else, and it is the best of them.

  1. 1
Voltron: Legendary Defender Voltron: Legendary Defender

Seventy six episodes on Netflix, 2016 to 2018. A complete story with a beginning and an end. The seasons are short and uneven because of how Netflix released them; treat the whole thing as one run.

  2. 2
Voltron: Defender of the Universe Voltron: Defender of the Universe

The 1984 original, if you want the one your parents watched. Be aware that the second half, the Vehicle Force, is cut from a different show entirely and has nothing to do with the first.

  3. 3
Beast King GoLion Beast King GoLion

The Japanese series the 1984 one was cut from. Much darker, and with an ending the American version rewrote.

Then what? The Third Dimension from 1998 and Voltron Force from 2011 are both sequels to the 1984 series and neither is well liked. A live action film has been in development for years without a date.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
