Whispering Corridors

Six films that share a school and a genre and absolutely nothing else, and the English titles hide that they are a series at all.

Where to start with Whispering Corridors

Any of them, in any order. These are six separate ghost stories that happen to be set in the same kind of school, and nothing carries between them.

  1. 1
    Memento Mori (1999) Memento Mori

Start here rather than at the beginning. It is by common agreement the best of the six and it needs nothing before it, which is true of all of them. Its title gives no clue that it is part of a series.

  2. 2
    Whispering Corridors (1998) Whispering Corridors

The original, and historically the important one: it arrived at the start of the Korean horror wave and set the template a lot of what followed used.

  3. 3
Whispering Corridors 6: The Humming (2021) Whispering Corridors 6: The Humming

The most recent, twelve years after the previous one, and the only English title since the first that admits which series it is in.

Then what? Wishing Stairs, Voice and A Blood Pledge are the other three. There is no order, no returning character and no shared timeline, so pick by premise. Several of them, particularly Memento Mori and A Blood Pledge, deal directly with teenage suicide.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
