Where to start with Fear Street

In order, and this is the rare case where sorting a franchise chronologically actively ruins it. The years in the titles are not the order to watch them in.

  1. 1
Fear Street Part One: 1994 Fear Street Part One: 1994

The present day. Deena, Josh and Sam in Shadyside, and the mystery the other two films exist to answer. It ends on a cliffhanger that sends them looking for a survivor.

  2. 2
Fear Street Part Two: 1978 Fear Street Part Two: 1978

This opens and closes in 1994. The Camp Nightwing massacre is a story being told out loud by the survivor Deena and Josh have just found, sitting in her house. Watch it out of place and the framing has nobody in it.

  3. 3
Fear Street Part Three: 1666 Fear Street Part Three: 1666

Deena's vision, experienced in 1994. Halfway through it drops the 1666 title card, replaces it with 1994 Part Two and returns to the present for the finale. It is not a period piece; it is the last third of the first film.

Then what? Fear Street: Prom Queen from 2025 is set in 1988 in the same town with an entirely new cast, and it stands alone: the trilogy resolves without it and it can be watched at any point. It is also the only entry adapted from an actual R. L. Stine novel. R. L. Stine said in early 2025 that three more films were in development at Netflix; nothing has been announced and nothing is listed.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
