Where to start with I Know What You Did Last Summer

The first two films, then the 2025 one. That is the line. The other two entries are separate things that happen to share a title.

  1. 1
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) I Know What You Did Last Summer

Four teenagers cover up a hit and run and get a note about it a year later. Nothing precedes it.

  2. 2
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) I Still Know What You Did Last Summer

A direct sequel with the same leads, moved to a resort in the Bahamas.

  3. 3
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) I Know What You Did Last Summer

A legacy sequel set twenty seven years after the second film. Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Brandy and Sarah Michelle Gellar all return, and it treats the 2006 film and the 2021 series as not having happened.

Then what? I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer from 2006 went straight to video with a new town and a new cast, and nothing carries over from it or into it. The 2021 series on Prime Video is a separate adaptation of the Lois Duncan novel in its own continuity; it ran eight episodes and was cancelled after one season.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
