Where to start with Witch Mountain

Two films from the seventies are the real thing. Everything after them starts again.

  1. 1
Escape to Witch Mountain (1975) Escape to Witch Mountain

The original. Two children with powers and no memory of where they came from, on the run. It is the only one that matters to anything else here.

  2. 2
Return from Witch Mountain (1978) Return from Witch Mountain

A proper sequel with the same two children, and Bette Davis and Christopher Lee as the villains, which is not a sentence you get to write often.

  3. 3
Race to Witch Mountain (2009) Race to Witch Mountain

Start here instead for the modern one. It is a reboot rather than a remake, with a new plot and new children, and it needs nothing before it. The two original child actors turn up briefly as a joke.

Then what? Beyond Witch Mountain from 1982 is a forty eight minute television film that recasts both children and plays them younger, so it fits badly after the 1978 film and is hard to find anyway. The 1995 television film is a straight remake of the 1975 one with the children renamed.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
