Fourteen seasons then the spin-off, and there is nothing hidden in between. The one thing worth saying is that finishing the original is a real prerequisite rather than a nicety.

Then what? There are no crossovers inside Blue Bloods itself and no backdoor pilot, so the order really is that simple. Boston Blue was renewed in December 2025 and its second season starts on 9 October 2026 with no episode count announced. Its first ended on a cliffhanger.
