Six series across thirty-five years and more than fourteen hundred episodes, and almost none of it needs watching in order. These are procedurals: each episode closes its own case. So the question is not where the story starts, it is which show to try.

The longest running of them and the one with actual characters underneath the format, which is why it outlasted everything else. It is also the easiest to drop into anywhere, so series one is a suggestion rather than a requirement.
The original, and the most rigidly formatted television ever made, half an hour of police, half an hour of prosecutors, no personal lives at all. That discipline is either the appeal or the dealbreaker, and one episode tells you which.
Built around a character who left Special Victims Unit after twelve series and returned twenty years later. This is the one place in the franchise where watching something else first genuinely matters.
Then what? Criminal Intent ran ten series and follows the detective rather than the case, which makes it the odd one out. Trial by Jury and Law & Order: LA lasted a single run each. Beyond Organized Crime, none of this has to be watched in any particular order, and dipping in anywhere is a perfectly normal way to use it.

Takes either kind of code. A single franchise code replaces that franchise, on any device. An everything code merges by default, so nothing you have ticked on this device is lost. Putting a whole list onto a device that has nothing on it yet is the part an account pays for.
Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.
