Dick Wolf's Chicago universe: Fire, P.D., Med and the one-season Justice, all sharing a city and a cast.
Four series set in the same city, launched one out of the next, and they cross over more heavily than most shared universes on television: three-hour nights where a single case runs from the fire house to the police station to the hospital. Release order is the way through.

Introduced inside Chicago Fire's first series and then given its own, following the intelligence unit. Much the darkest of the four, and the one most people rate highest.
Launched from a Fire and P.D. crossover and set at the hospital the other two keep delivering people to. It completes the set, which is when the crossover nights start working properly.
Then what? Chicago Justice lasted a single run of thirteen episodes and sits between the others in 2017. From there the three surviving shows run in step, series by series, and the crossovers are frequent enough that watching them by air date rather than one show at a time is genuinely the better experience.
