Where to start with Darkman

Three films in order. The only thing to brace for is that the lead actor changes after the first one and nobody mentions it.

  1. 1
    Darkman (1990) Darkman

Sam Raimi's film, and the only one in cinemas. Liam Neeson under the bandages, and a superhero film made before that was a genre, because Raimi could not get the rights to a real comic character and wrote his own.

  2. 2
Darkman II: The Return of Durant (1995) Darkman II: The Return of Durant

Straight to video five years later, with Arnold Vosloo in the part and no Raimi. It is a big step down in scale, but it does continue the story properly and it brings the first film's villain back.

  3. 3
Darkman III: Die Darkman Die (1996) Darkman III: Die Darkman Die

Same lead and same director as the second, and it finishes the run. Nothing after it.

Then what? That is everything released. A half hour television pilot was made for Fox in 1992 with a third actor in the part and was never broadcast, so it is not listed here. A new film has been in development at Sam Raimi's company since 2026, with a finished script and directors attached and no money yet, so there is nothing to wait for.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
