Introduces a second immortal Scot and quietly rewrites the first film's ending so the story can continue. It is uneven and it is meant to be watched anyway.

Then what? Carry on through seasons three to six, which are the strongest run in the whole franchise. After that, The Raven is a one season spin-off that ends on a cliffhanger nothing resolves, Endgame in 2000 brings the film lead and the series lead together and is the only real bridge between the two branches, and The Source in 2007 is a made for television sequel that the people who made it later treated as though it had not happened. If you want the film branch instead, it is Highlander, then Highlander III, and Highlander II is optional at best. The animated series, the web series and the anime film are three separate side worlds that require nothing and lead nowhere.
