Sync & backup holds a short code you can paste in on another device. Share progress copies a link that opens the tracker already filled in — handy for showing someone where you got to.
Worth knowing: browsers do clear their own storage. Safari in particular wipes a site's data after about a week of not visiting, and private windows forget everything when you close them. If you've put real effort into a list, export it.

Four Donnie Yen films are the series and they run forward in order, but a spin-off follows the man who loses the fight in the third, and several unrelated films by other studios share the name.
Four films, watched in the order they were released, which is also the order they happen. There is nothing to untangle in the main series itself; the decisions are what to do with the spin-off and what to ignore entirely.
Foshan in the 1930s, and the only place to begin. It sets up the man, the style and the war that drives him out of the city.
Hong Kong in 1949, picking up more or less where the first film leaves him. He arrives with nothing and tries to teach.
1959, and the film that introduces Cheung Tin-chi, the rival whose defeat the whole spin-off is built on. Watch it before Master Z or that film has no starting point.
San Francisco in 1964, and the end of the series. It was written to be watched last and it closes out his life.
Then what? Then Master Z: Ip Man Legacy, if you want it. It picks up Cheung Tin-chi after his loss in the third film, Donnie Yen does not appear in it, and nothing in the four films depends on it, so it is genuinely optional and it works best after the third film rather than before the fourth. Everything in the third section is a different production about the same real person and none of it needs watching in any order: The Legend Is Born and Ip Man: The Final Fight are a Herman Yau pair with two different actors in the role, The Grandmaster is Wong Kar-wai's own film, and the two Dennis To films stand alone. A fifth Donnie Yen film has been announced but has no date, so nothing is listed for it.

Your data
There are no accounts on SagaList and no database of visitors. Almost everything the site does happens inside your own browser and never reaches anyone. Here is the whole picture, including the one thing that does leave your device.
Everything you tick off. Your progress is saved in your browser's own storage, on the device you're using, under a key belonging to this site. It is not sent anywhere, it is not backed up by us, and we cannot see it. If you clear your browser's site data it is gone, and we could not restore it even if you asked — which is exactly why Export image of progress and Sync & backup exist.
The same is true of a share link. The progress is encoded into the address itself, so it travels with the link rather than being stored on a server. Anyone you send it to can see what you've watched — that's the point of it — so only share it with people you mean to.
Only a suggestion, and only when you send one. If you use Suggest a title, what you typed is submitted to Netlify, who host this site, and forwarded on to us. That form asks for a title and an optional note. It does not ask for your name or your email address, and there is nowhere to enter one. Netlify records the submission along with the technical details any web host sees when you send a request, and their privacy terms govern that.
If you never send a suggestion, nothing you do on this site is transmitted anywhere at all.
We do count visits, and it would be dishonest to have a privacy page that did not say so. It is done by Netlify reading its own server logs — the record every web host keeps of which pages were requested. Nothing is added to this page to make it happen: no script runs, no cookie is set, and nothing follows you from one visit to the next or from this site to any other.
What that produces is a count: how many pages were served, which ones, and roughly where in the world the requests came from. Visitors are counted as distinct network addresses per day, which is how a request gets counted once rather than five times. It is a tally of traffic, not a record of people — there is no profile, no history, and no way to look up what any one visitor did.
Two typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them, and Google sees that request the way any web server sees a request for a file. Nothing about your progress is included. Apart from that, the entire site is a single file served from this address.
The Join our Discord link at the foot of every page goes to Discord, which is a separate service run by a separate company. It is an ordinary link: nothing about what you've watched travels with it, and following it tells Discord only that somebody opened an invite. Anything you do once you are there — including needing a Discord account to say anything at all — is covered by Discord's own terms and privacy policy rather than this page. Nothing on SagaList itself ever asks you to make an account, and the server is entirely optional.
The Support the site link at the foot of every page goes to Ko-fi, a separate service run by a separate company, where anyone who wants to can send a few dollars towards the domain and hosting. It is an ordinary link and it is entirely optional: nothing on SagaList is paywalled, nothing is unlocked by paying, and nothing about what you've watched travels with the link. If you do send something, Ko-fi and its payment processor handle the payment and see whatever you type into their form — SagaList never sees or stores a card, an address, or a name, and keeps no record of who supported it. That side of things is covered by Ko-fi's own terms and privacy policy rather than this page.
If visitor analytics or an optional account for syncing across devices are ever added, this page gets updated first and the change will be obvious rather than quiet. The promise on the front page — nothing stored about you — is meant literally, and it stops being printable the day it stops being true.
SagaList keeps no contact list, so there is no address to write to about your data. There is nothing held about you to ask for.
