Where to start with Left Behind

Read the twelve books in order. For the films, pick a series: there are two and the second is not a continuation of the first.

  1. 1
    Left Behind (1995) Left Behind

The first novel, and the one both film series adapt. Twelve books run on from it in publication order.

  2. 2
Left Behind: The Movie (2000) Left Behind: The Movie

The first film series, with Kirk Cameron. Three films, and they run in order. It went to video before cinemas, which is why databases date it 2000 and 2001.

  3. 3
    Left Behind (2014) Left Behind

Start here instead for the other series. It is not a fourth film: it starts over from the first book with Nicolas Cage, and it has one sequel.

Then what? The books have a wrinkle. Three prequels were published in 2005 and 2006, after the main twelve, and they are set before the 1995 book. Read them after the twelve rather than first. Kingdom Come, from 2007, is the actual ending. On screen, the 2023 film is a direct sequel to the 2014 one and recasts every part in it, including the lead.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below: tick anything off in either place.

Everything you tick is saved in this browser and nowhere else. An account is the only way to put your list on another device, and the only way to get it back if this browser clears its storage. It is free and it takes an email address and a password.

Sign in on your phone, your laptop, anything, and the same list is there, kept in step as you tick. Nothing to copy, nothing to remember.

All three are about this franchise and all three are for showing, not moving. The link and the picture open SagaList with that progress displayed next to whatever the person opening it has already ticked. The code is what a friend pastes into Compare below. None of them writes anything into anybody's list.

Read only. This never changes what you have saved, and nothing leaves your browser. The code has to be their code for this same franchise: codes do not carry a name, so one from somewhere else may not be recognised as wrong.

Removes everything ticked here, in this browser. If you are signed in it clears on your other devices too. If you are not, there is no other copy and this cannot be undone.
