On the data. Two films, and this is one of the rare cases where starting with the sequel is the better advice. Shadow of a Tear opens with everything you need to know and then becomes a revenge film. The fight choreography, by Tim Man, is a step above the first film and above most of what the direct to video market produces, and the film has a reputation among people who follow that market that goes well beyond its budget. The first film is not bad. It is just ordinary, and its main function turns out to be establishing a marriage that the second film destroys in its first ten minutes. Both were made by Isaac Florentine with Scott Adkins, who have worked together repeatedly. Adkins's other series, Undisputed, is separate. A third film has been talked about by both of them for over a decade and has never been made. Treat it as unlikely rather than upcoming.
