Three films in order, and one earlier anthology where the same character is played by someone else.

Where to start with Terrifier

Straight release order for the three numbered films, and that genuinely is the answer. The only real decision is what to do with an anthology from 2013 that the whole thing grew out of.

  1. 1
    Terrifier (2018) Terrifier

Under ninety minutes, almost no plot, and it establishes the one thing that matters, which is that the character never speaks. Nothing before it is required.

  2. 2
    Terrifier 2 (2022) Terrifier 2

Set a year later, more than twice as long, and the film that turned this from a curiosity into a franchise. It follows on directly from the first film's last scene.

  3. 3
    Terrifier 3 (2024) Terrifier 3

Five years on and set at Christmas, and it assumes complete knowledge of the second film's characters. It is the highest-grossing of them.

Then what? All Hallows' Eve is optional and can go before or after. It is an anthology by the same writer and director in which Art appears, but he is played by a different actor and it starts its own separate line of films that have nothing to do with these. A fourth Terrifier has been announced with no date.

A suggested way in, not an official one. The full list is below — tick anything off in either place.

Sync & backup

Your progress is saved on this device automatically. To carry it to another device, move the code below.

The code holds only this franchise. The link opens the tracker with your progress already filled in — good for showing someone where you're at. The image is a picture you can keep anywhere: scan the code on it with a phone, or drag the file back in below.

Drag a SagaList image here, or .

This reads the progress stored inside the picture, so nothing has to be retyped. If the image has been through a messaging app it may have been re-encoded and lost that — scan the code on it instead, or copy the code printed along the bottom.

Restoring replaces the progress currently saved on this device for the franchise the code belongs to.
